Where does the time go?
Hi all
I apologize for not posting anything on here in a long while. I've been busy as most of us are - how does this happen? How do we stop the train and get off for a while? Where to start . . .
Okay, May - here are some photos of my nephew Carter I took when he was 6 months old last month. He is just the cutest thing, but I'm not biased.
Also in May I entered the City Chase competition with my friend Jaime. You can read about it here:

Basically it's kinda like the Amazing Race reality show, but on a smaller scale in one city at a time and you have 6 hours to complete 10 of the 15 check points. We completed it in just over 5 hours, the winners did it in 2:44:18! A team of two women no less - girl power! Of the 300+ teams that entered, only 190 some actually finished within the deadline, so coming in 107th our first time was pretty good.
We did things like: built a tower out of bendy straws that had to hold a golf ball for 10 seconds; tai kwan do (Jaime broke a board with his foot while I held it); built an Ikea table then sold it for $25 for the Make a Wish Foundation; a blindfolded yoga pose; took our photos with residents at a senior's home; did some funky dance moves; solved word puzzles; solved a math puzzle; road the mechanical bull for 8 seconds each; made hats out of corn; did feats at the fire hall like carrying the dummy (Jaime again) and spraying the hose and rolling it back up again. Oh and did I mention LOTS of walking/running!
Here's a drawing of us we got in Strathcona market - we bought this drawing from an artist there and he bought our table for charity.
I couldn't have done it without a great partner though, thanks Jaime! I think I'll do it again next year. Maybe a girls team - who's up for it?

These pics are priceless!
I'll do the Amazing race with ya...now I know what it entails.
Better start practicing!
