July catch up

Okay, so I'm newly motivated to keep this updated more often - thanks Rob - so here goes. Shooting for once a week.

New in Photography

I have an exhibit at the Capital Ex right now, comes down tomorrow. Phil (of Night-O-Fartists) says we are getting a lot of attention but nothing selling yet. I'll see if I can change that tomorow and go hang around for a couple hours myself. Hope to see some of you down there - we're in the Agricom, come visit.

Am currently putting more thought into a project I've wanted to do for a while. I've met some poets through the Cortex event last year and I got the idea of putting my images together with poetry and creating a coffee table book. Not only that - I'd love to get a charity involved, maybe with some kids - and get their writing in it too and have some of the proceeds go back to the charity.

I'm writing this here cause you never know how someone will get connected. If you know someone that writes, is a publisher, promoter, graphic designer, etc - anyone that know about book publishing or may be interested in being a financer for the project - please pass this along to them or have them get in touch with me. I have no idea how it will come together, I just know it will. So I put this out in the world to find those right people.

I'm doing quite a few family portraits this summer. If you or someone you know would like to get one created, please give me a call I'd love to do that. Here's one I did a few weeks ago.

And another - the Lucius family. You believe Sue and I went to Nait together 20 years ago?! Yikes!

Family stuff

Carla, Troy and I took Carter to the zoo for the first time on Canada day weekend. Here's a couple shots - although he was more interested in the dirt on the ground than the animals. Carousel and train were great photo opps.
