More LaCour photos

Hey Veronica you did keep your eyes opened!

Lighting demonstration Tuesday April 10th, Biltmore hotel in Atlanta. Here is how I'm applying their bounce flash techniques. Pretty nice hey!?

This is what happens when you have a room full of photographers, great models, and a little bit of knowledge - pandamonium, chaos, and a whole lot of FUN!

Me and Stuart Thurlkill, thanks for taking photos of me Stuart!

Our classroom was in the CELLAR in the hotel's restaurant.

Is spring finally here?

Hi all

Wow I can't believe it's been so long since I updated this page. Lots has been going on.

March was a build up to the big 4-0 celebrations. It came and went and I have to say I had a blast. Thanks to all those that came out to the parties. You all made it a memorable weekend for me.

So, continuing on the mid-life crisis theory, I managed to get a tattoo 9 days before my 40th event. I don't have any good photos of it. My friend Mike took some on his phone of the actual process, but they are kind of blurry. Thanks for trying Mike. If you want to see it you'll just have to ask me out for lunch. ;-)

I also managed to buy a bikini and actually wore it! I attended a business school in California in late March and it was so nice one day my roomie and I had to skip out for a couple hours and get a bit of sun. I was hanging out with her and her friends there - all well under 30. That's why I don't look my age - I certainly don't act it.

After that course - which left me with 60+ pages of notes that I'm still going over - I was off to Vegas for a photography convention, WPPI. Was great to see my associates from New Zealand, and the UK. We did great work and fun time was had by all.

Then off to Atlanta on April 7th for a seminar with LaCour photographers. They invited me to come speak to their attendees about albums, and I have to say they are some of THE nicest, most gracious hosts and people I have ever met. You guys rock! We had a great week, learned about marketing, reception lighting that blew me away, and had a great time socializing too.

I will post some photos of the workshop soon. I also got these new photos of myself taken - thanks Stuart!

What do you think of the "power suit"? I felt powerful wearing that. My presentation went over really well and they may want me to come back again next time. Oh, I stayed at the most fabulous hotel too. It's called Twelve. Not sure why - but if it is based on how they rate 1-10, I'd say 12. Very cool decor, great service, great location.
